YouTuber Jack Doherty arrested in Florida on alleged domestic-violence charge

YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after police responded to a report of alleged domestic violence inside a residence.

Officers arrived shortly before noon at a home in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court, in the Riverside Park neighborhood. After assessing the situation, they determined that Doherty and a woman had been involved in a physical fight. Authorities said the alleged victim suffered no injuries.

Doherty was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic-battery charge. The woman’s identity has not been disclosed, and officials have not confirmed her relationship with the influencer. A recent Instagram post showed Doherty traveling with his girlfriend, Katalina Cartmel, but there is no confirmation that she was the woman named in the police report.

By Saturday morning, Doherty remained in the main Broward County jail with bail set at $1,000. A court order also barred him from any contact with the alleged victim while the case continues. A person close to Doherty told TMZ that he acted in self-defense, but that account came from his circle and did not alter the charge reported by authorities.

The arrest came less than a year after Doherty faced another case in Florida. In November 2025, Miami Beach police arrested him on allegations involving possession of amphetamines, possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis, and resisting arrest. He later entered a deferred-dismissal program. Authorities said he had been recording social-media content and trying to interact with police in public when he allegedly obstructed traffic. After posting $3,500 bail, he was released and later shared images related to the arrest.
