YouTuber sells car for $1.80 to father of sick child, gifts diapers

YouTuber Kim Sun-tae, known online as 'Chungju Man,' has garnered widespread attention for selling his decade-old Hyundai Tucson for a symbolic 2,500 won to a young father in need.

The recipient, a 24-year-old father of a toddler with a serious kidney condition, explained in a comment on Kim's YouTube channel that the car was essential for his daughter's frequent hospital visits. He noted the difficulties of transportation in his rural area and his limited financial resources, stating, "My child was born more than two months premature and had many issues, not just with her kidneys... We have to go to the university hospital up to three times a month." He had initially offered 870,000 won for the car.

Kim Sun-tae drove the car himself to Changwon to deliver it to the father. Upon arrival, he revealed the price of 2,500 won and then opened the trunk, which was filled with diapers and wet wipes valued at 870,000 won – the amount the father had initially offered for the car.
