Yu Hae-ran claims first major title at KPMG Women's PGA Championship

Yu Hae-ran secured her maiden major championship title at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, carding a final round of 2-under-par 70 to finish at 13-under-par 275. This victory marks her fourth career win on the LPGA Tour and her first major title.

She held off a challenge from compatriot Im Na-ri, who finished two strokes behind at 11-under-par. Yu Hae-ran's triumph is the first major win for a South Korean golfer in two years, following Yang Hee-young's victory in 2024.

Despite a shaky start with a bogey on the first hole, Yu Hae-ran regained her composure, making birdies on the 3rd, 7th, and 9th holes to lead at the turn. She extended her lead in the back nine with further birdies on the 10th and 12th holes. Henderson's bogey on the 14th widened the gap, and despite a late charge from Beber, Yu Hae-ran maintained her lead to secure the championship. She received a prize of $1.95 million.
