Zagreb's 'Neighborhoods of Culture' Concludes on Kajzerica with Diverse Program

The second cycle of Zagreb's "Kvartovi Kulture" (Neighborhoods of Culture) program is set to wrap up on Kajzerica on July 18 and 19. Following events in Volovčica and Trnjanska Savica, the Kajzerica neighborhood will host a two-day cultural and artistic festival near Kajzerica Elementary School.

The program offers a diverse range of activities, including a concert, theater performances for both children and adults, film screenings, a contemporary circus performance, and workshops. Saturday's events begin with an embroidery workshop focused on mindfulness, followed by a parade led by the Zagreb ZET Orchestra. The children's play "Đuro the Shrimp's Sea Adventures" will be presented, along with the French crime drama "Private Life," directed by Rebecca Zlotowski and starring Jodie Foster.

Sunday's schedule includes a guided walk exploring the Zagreb Fair's past, present, and future, led by cultural anthropologist Sonja Leboš. This walk aims to discuss how the modernist space can serve the neighborhood's needs while improving its maintenance. The festival will also feature a contemporary circus performance by El Cric, showcasing acrobatics and aerial props with humor. The evening concludes with the dark comedy "Directly to the Head," starring experienced actors Borko Perić and Filip Detelić, promising a unique audience experience.
