Zelensky reports successful Ukrainian attacks on Russian naval arsenals and oil depot

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced successful Ukrainian drone strikes against Russian naval facilities and an oil depot, asserting that these actions are a direct response to ongoing Russian aggression. The strikes reportedly targeted arsenals in the St. Petersburg region and an oil storage facility in Krasnodar.

According to Zelensky's statements, Ukrainian drones traveled approximately 1,000 kilometers to reach naval arsenals near Kronstadt in the St. Petersburg region. Another strike, covering about 500 kilometers, hit an oil depot in the Krasnodar region. Zelensky emphasized that while the war must end, Russia's leadership appears intent on continuing the conflict, justifying Ukraine's retaliatory measures.

"This war has to end, but Russia’s ruler wants to keep fighting," Zelensky stated on his X account. "That is why Ukrainian sanctions against this aggression are working." He added, "Last night, our drones covered a distance of about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region, to the enemy's naval arsenals and the Kronstadt base. They also covered more than 500 kilometers to the Krasnodar region and hit an oil depot."

Zelensky's remarks underscore Ukraine's strategy of striking deep within Russian territory to disrupt military capabilities and signal resolve. The president reiterated that every act of injustice against Ukraine will be met with a response, framing the drone attacks as a necessary countermeasure to Russian aggression.
