Zelenskyy Demands Urgent Air Defense Deliveries Amidst Russian Ballistic Missile Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urgently called for accelerated deliveries of air defense systems, citing Russia's persistent use of ballistic missiles as a primary tool of terror. In a video address, Zelenskyy highlighted a recent large-scale ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, describing it as one of the most significant assaults of its kind since the war began.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia spent several days stockpiling missiles before launching the attack, which impacted over 100 sites in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Similar attacks were also recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions. The President asserted that Russia's continued reliance on ballistic missiles fuels President Vladimir Putin's belief in his war strategy.

While Ukraine's air defense forces successfully neutralized 18 missiles and over a hundred drones during the recent assault, Zelenskyy stressed the critical need for faster action. "It is very important that we speed everything up – both with our European partners and with the United States," Zelenskyy emphasized.
