Zelenskyy dismisses ambassadors to Croatia, Albania, and Montenegro

The presidential press service confirmed the decisions, which mark the end of the mandates for ambassadors Vasil Kirilich (Croatia), Volodymyr Shkurov (Albania), and Oleh Herasymenko (Montenegro).

These diplomatic changes come shortly after Zelenskyy removed Olena Stefanishyna as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States on August 3. Stefanishyna was subsequently accused of illicit enrichment and making false asset declarations. A High Anti-Corruption Court set her bail at $134,000, though the former ambassador has denied the charges and stated she lacks the funds to pay the bail.

The series of ambassadorial dismissals suggests a broader reshuffling within Ukraine's diplomatic corps. The reasons behind the specific removals in Croatia, Albania, and Montenegro have not been detailed, but they occur amid ongoing efforts to manage Ukraine's international relations during the conflict with Russia.
