Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a significant strategic shift, establishing a new special command within the armed forces dedicated to exerting long-term and global influence on Russia. This initiative aims to counter Russia's ongoing aggression by systematically degrading its capacity to wage war.

This move comes as Ukrainian drones have increasingly targeted critical energy infrastructure deep within Russia, sometimes reaching targets as far as 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine's borders. Zelenskyy recently highlighted that no Russian oil refinery is now considered safe from Ukrainian strikes, signaling a deliberate escalation in targeting Russia's economic backbone.
