Zelenskyy Visits Serbia, Meets President Vučić

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Belgrade for an official visit, meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić at the Palace of Serbia. The two leaders engaged in discussions, with a meeting of their respective delegations also taking place.

Key topics for the talks were identified, and a Memorandum of Understanding on agricultural cooperation between Serbia and Ukraine is anticipated to be signed. The visit, which had been long-anticipated, comes weeks after a summit in Kyiv focused on Ukraine-Southeast Europe. Notably, President Vučić was the sole leader present who did not sign a joint declaration at that summit.

Zelenskyy arrived on Friday and was hosted for dinner by Vučić. The official welcome ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of both Ukraine and Serbia. Serbian ministers for agriculture, energy, and trade were part of the Serbian delegation, while the Ukrainian side included members of Zelenskyy's cabinet and experienced diplomats.
