Zhubei City invests NT$20 million to create coastal landmark at Crescent Bay

Zhubei City is undertaking a significant renovation of its Crescent Bay beach, investing NT$20 million to enhance the popular summer destination. The "Crescent Bay Overall Environmental Improvement Project" aims to upgrade aging facilities and create a more orderly and aesthetically pleasing space to elevate the visitor experience.

The improvements are timed to welcome the influx of tourists expected during the summer months. Mayor Cheng Chao-fang highlighted Crescent Bay as a valuable coastal resource for Zhubei, emphasizing the need for visitors to fully enjoy the ocean scenery and have a positive experience with the facilities. The project focuses on the southern parking lot, restrooms, and outdoor shower areas, alongside the removal of damaged pavement structures.

A key addition will be the "Listen to the Sea" viewing platform, designed to offer visitors a unique vantage point. The city government anticipates the overall project will be completed by mid-July, just in time for the annual Crescent Bay Ocean Music Festival. This transformation is intended to position Crescent Bay not just as a summer retreat but as the most beautiful and relaxing coastal landmark in the greater Hsinchu area.

Officials have previewed the upcoming enhancements, promising a "gorgeous transformation" for Crescent Bay. The upgraded facilities and new platform are expected to provide a refreshed experience for all attendees of the upcoming music festival and for general visitors throughout the summer.
