Zimbabwe Lose T20 Tri-Series Final to South Africa by 48 Runs

Zimbabwe's Chevrons fell 48 runs short of South Africa's Proteas in the T20I Tri-Series final on Sunday at Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat, posting 205 for five from 20 overs. Jordan Herman led the Proteas' scoring with a personal-best 53 runs from 29 balls, giving Zimbabwe's bowlers a difficult outing. Brad Evans and Newman Nyamhuri were the only Zimbabwe bowlers to take wickets.

The chase quickly turned against Zimbabwe. The top and middle order struggled against South Africa's attack, and the Chevrons had lost four wickets for 25 runs. Evans produced Zimbabwe's best individual performance, scoring 57 from 31 balls as he tried to keep the chase alive.

Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 157 in 18 overs, giving South Africa a 48-run victory in the final. The Chevrons will now turn to a three-match ODI series against Australia at Harare Sports Club, starting September 15.
