Zimbabwean President Honors Retired Chief Justice with Farming Equipment

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has presented retired Chief Justice Luke Malaba with an agricultural mechanization package, celebrating his extensive service to Zimbabwe's judiciary. The President lauded Malaba's decades of contribution and leadership, encouraging him to continue being productive in his retirement through farming.

In recognition of his outstanding service spanning decades, unwavering commitment and exemplary legal leadership within the Zimbabwean judiciary, I presented him with an agricultural mechanisation package to facilitate his transition into post-retirement life.

The package, which includes a tractor, a Nissan UD truck, a boom sprayer, and a planter, is intended to support Malaba's agricultural pursuits. President Mnangagwa described the gift as a token of appreciation for the former Chief Justice's dedication to national service and his role in developing Zimbabwe's legal system.

Urging Malaba to apply his expertise to the agricultural sector, the President emphasized the importance of land productivity. "Our land is a vital asset, and productivity must persist at all levels," Mnangagwa stated, reinforcing the government's focus on agriculture as a cornerstone of economic growth and national development.
