Zulma Lobato finds permanent home in Tandil after living on the streets

Zulma Lobato, the 67-year-old media personality, has found a stable home in Tandil, a city in the interior of Buenos Aires province, after a period of homelessness. Lobato had been seen living on the streets in Paraná, Entre Ríos province, in early August, carrying her belongings in trash bags. Following media attention, the municipality provided her with temporary shelter.

Activist Jazmín “La Cuerpo” Salinas intervened to help Lobato return to Buenos Aires, and she has now settled in Tandil. Jair Hourcade, known on Instagram as "La Pepona" and reportedly close to Salinas, welcomed Lobato. Hourcade shared a video on Instagram showing Lobato having dinner and enjoying Tandil, with Lobato describing the city as "beautiful."

Hourcade addressed criticism on social media regarding Lobato's living situation, stating firmly, "She doesn't need anything, she has food, she has a roof, she has everything." She emphasized that Lobato gave her permission to share videos and that she was not hiding her circumstances. This defense came after Lobato was seen walking through Tandil's city center, appearing to be in a better state than when she was in Paraná.

This is not Lobato's first visit to Tandil; she was previously invited by "La Pepona" in March to perform at a local venue. That appearance marked her return to the stage after several years and seemingly foreshadowed her eventual move to the city.
