10 Transjakarta Routes Modified for 81st Indonesian Independence Day

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) announced service modifications for 10 bus routes on August 17, 2026, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. These adjustments are necessary due to planned traffic engineering across various streets in the capital city.

Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR at Transjakarta, stated that the route changes are situational, prioritizing customer safety and comfort. "These adjustments are situational and are made considering field conditions as well as customer safety and comfort aspects," she said in an official statement on Sunday.

The modifications will be implemented in two phases: from 07:30 to 11:30 WIB and from 16:30 to 23:00 WIB, with slight variations in duration for some routes. Transjakarta urged the public to pay attention to these route changes to ensure their journeys remain smooth.

Several routes will experience detours. For example, Route 1 (Blok M-Kota) will be rerouted via Corridors 13 and 9, bypassing the Monas and Masjid Agung stops. Route 2 (Pulo Gadung-Monas) will temporarily not serve Monas, Balai Kota, and Gambir 2. Other affected routes include 3, 1A, 2A, 5C, 7F, 14A, 5M, and 9D, with specific adjustments to avoid certain stops or utilize alternative paths like Juanda and Pecenongan.
