12-Year-Old Boy Swept Away by Waves While Swimming in Quang Ngai, Presumed Missing

Vietnamese newspaper Thanh Niên reports on a tragic incident where a 12-year-old boy disappeared after being pulled into the sea by strong waves while swimming at Sa Huỳnh beach in Quảng Ngãi province. The incident occurred on the afternoon of May 19th, highlighting the dangers of coastal waters, especially during periods of rough seas.

According to local officials, the boy, identified as P.N.P., was swimming with a friend, P.D.T. (13 years old), when they were both caught in a strong undertow. While P.D.T. was fortunately rescued by vigilant locals and brought to shore for medical attention, P.N.P. was swept away by the current and remains missing.
