13-year-old walks from Chisinau to Bucharest, enters Romania to cheers and support

Cristian Busuioc, a 13-year-old boy, is walking from Chisinau to Bucharest in a symbolic journey titled "Two capitals, one desire." He aims to connect Moldova and Romania step by step. After three days of walking, he has crossed the Prut River and entered Romania, feeling well and even ahead of his planned pace.

Border police at Vama Albița recognized the significance of his endeavor and permitted him to cross the Flower Bridge on foot, allowing him to maintain his route. Upon entering Romania, he reached Huși, where he briefly stopped before continuing his journey. The support from locals has deeply impressed him, with many people meeting him along the way, walking with him for portions of the route, and providing food and water.

"I feel very good. I am not tired. The weather is good. It was emotional that, along the route, people met me and walked with me for a few kilometers, and some brought me food and water. So far, it has been a very beautiful experience, and I hope it continues this way to Bucharest," Cristian told Vremea Nouă. He plans to arrive in Bucharest's Unirii Square on August 14, hoping for continued support.

Cristian intends to cover 35 to 40 kilometers daily. His route follows European Road 581 through Crasna and Bârlad. This initiative seeks to foster a sense of closeness between Moldova and Romania through his personal effort.
