150 Sentani Barat Residents Enthusiastically Join Free Health Checks by Jayapura TP-PKK

In Sentani Barat, Jayapura, 150 residents actively participated in a free health examination event organized by the Jayapura Regency TP-PKK in collaboration with the local health department. This initiative underscores a commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to the community, with a particular focus on pregnant women.

We are here to provide free health check-up services and educate the public so they have the awareness to check their health regularly.

Dewi Sartika Wonda, Chairwoman of the Jayapura Regency TP-PKK, stated that the event included interventions for pregnant women and a campaign for free health check-ups. She noted the high turnout indicates growing public awareness of the importance of regular health monitoring and a positive reception to the accessible healthcare approach.

Beyond general health screenings, the TP-PKK provided targeted support to pregnant women identified as needing assistance. This aid included essential items for childbirth, such as baby clothes, necessities, nutritious food, and iron supplements. The organization hopes this support will ensure safe deliveries for expectant mothers.
