173kg of Rotten Food Destroyed in Kuwaiti Warehouse Inspections

Kuwait's General Authority for Food and Nutrition has intensified its efforts to ensure food safety, conducting a significant inspection campaign targeting food warehouses in the Farwaniya Governorate. This initiative is part of the authority's ongoing commitment to upholding stringent health and food safety standards across the country.

The campaign resulted in the identification of several establishments failing to meet regulatory requirements. Authorities issued five violation reports against these non-compliant businesses. More critically, a destruction order was issued for 173 kilograms of food products that were found to be unfit for human consumption, highlighting a serious breach of safety protocols.

These confiscated food items were promptly destroyed in accordance with established legal procedures, ensuring they do not pose any risk to public health. The General Authority for Food and Nutrition has stated its firm resolve to continue these inspection campaigns across all food establishments and warehouses.

The authority reiterated its commitment to consumer health and safety, warning that legal action will be pursued against any violators. This proactive approach aims to deter non-compliance and maintain the integrity of the food supply chain in Kuwait.
