18 top STPM students to receive study fee sponsorship

Eighteen top-performing students who achieved excellent results in Malaysia's Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination for 2025 will receive full tuition sponsorship for their undergraduate studies. This initiative marks the first time such a comprehensive scholarship is being offered specifically to STPM graduates by public universities.

Starting with the 2025 cohort, each public university will offer a Bachelor's degree tuition scholarship to the best STPM 2025 students.

Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek announced that each public university will offer a bachelor's degree scholarship to the highest-achieving STPM students. This move underscores the government's dedication to empowering the Form Six education pathway and ensuring that academically strong students receive the necessary support to pursue higher education.

During the award ceremony for top students in STPM, MUET, and the Malay Language Proficiency Certificate, Fadhlina expressed gratitude to the public universities for their participation in this program. She stated that the government believes Form Six students possess significant potential and will be crucial assets for the nation's future development.

Furthermore, STPM continues to gain international recognition, being accepted by over 2,000 universities worldwide. The examination also received acknowledgment from Cambridge University Press and Assessment in the United Kingdom. The 2025 STPM results showed an improvement, with the national Grade Point Average (GPA) increasing to 2.88 from 2.85 the previous year, reflecting the dedication of students, teachers, and parents.
