1860 Munich Re-Signs Former Player Dennis Dressel Ahead of Regionalliga Start

TSV 1860 Munich has secured the return of midfielder Dennis Dressel, signing the 27-year-old on a contract running until 2028. This move marks another homecoming for the club, which is preparing for the upcoming Regionalliga season.

Dressel expressed his strong connection to the club, stating, "Going to Giesing always feels like coming home." He began his football journey with the "Löwen" (Lions) at the age of eight, spending 15 formative years at the Grünwalder Straße training ground. His professional career with 1860 Munich saw him play in the 3. Liga from 2018 to 2022.

Most recently, Dressel captained SSV Ulm in the 3. Liga, but his contract ended following their relegation. Prior to his time at Ulm, he also played for Hansa Rostock and Austrian club Grazer AK.

Dressel's return is the fourth such "comeback" for 1860 Munich this season. The club, which was forcibly relegated to the fourth division, has already welcomed back Felix Weber, Julian Bell, and goalkeeper Vitus Eicher, all of whom were developed in the club's youth system.

For 1860 Munich, under coach Alper Kayabunar, the first league match of the Regionalliga season is scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 PM away against Schweinfurt.
