200 children circumcised in mass 'Sunathon' program

A mass circumcision program, Sunathon Hero Iskandar Puteri 2.0, provided the ritual procedure for 200 children aged 5 to 15 in Iskandar Puteri. The event, held at Dewan Taman Pulai Utama, was organized by the Yayasan Penyayang Iskandar Puteri (YPIP).

Azizah Nasabu, the program director and a YPIP trustee, stated that the event was one of YPIP's initiatives to serve the local community. She emphasized that the traditional ceremony helps alleviate financial burdens for parents and offers a significant experience for the participating children. YPIP is committed to enhancing community welfare through various programs focused on social welfare, education, youth development, and aid for those in need.

"YPIP is always committed to empowering community welfare through various programs focused on community, education, youth development, and providing aid to those in need," Azizah said. "Among the foundation's main focuses is helping to strengthen the educational development of children, as well as fostering a spirit of togetherness within the Iskandar Puteri community."

Pandak Ahmad, the State Assemblyman for Kota Iskandar, attended and officiated the program. In addition to the circumcision, each participant received a RM50 sponsorship for a National Education Savings Account (Simpan SSPN) to encourage early saving habits. The Lembaga Tabung Haji also sponsored the opening of Tabung Haji accounts for all participants.
