'2026 Korea Respected Medical Awards' to be Held in November

The '2026 Korea Respected Medical Awards' ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 27th at the Grand Ballroom of Stanford Hotel Korea in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Organized by the Korea Respected Medical Awards Selection Committee and hosted by OpenX Co., Ltd., with support from Dong-A Ilbo, the event aims to spotlight the achievements of medical professionals, institutions, and healthcare companies dedicated to advancing public health and improving healthcare services.

The selection committee, which includes experts from the medical field, legal professionals, journalists, and operational staff, will conduct a rigorous evaluation process. This process goes beyond mere scale or performance, focusing on medical expertise, treatment capabilities, patient-centered care, ethical practices, innovation in medical technology and systems, contributions to public health, and social responsibility. The awards will cover various categories, including specialized medical fields, hospitals and clinics, medical technology innovation, patient satisfaction, and healthcare companies.

Potential recipients will undergo a two-stage online screening before the final selection by the committee. The organizers emphasize that Korean healthcare is at a pivotal point, requiring advancements not only in technology and expertise but also in patient-centered culture and social responsibility. The awards seek to highlight exemplary cases from the front lines of healthcare and the innovative driving forces within the medical industry.

Applications for the awards are currently being accepted from medical institutions and healthcare companies, with a deadline of October 31st. Due to limited award slots in each category, early closure of applications is possible if the maximum number of submissions is reached before the deadline. The event is supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Health Promotion Institute, and the Korean Medical Accreditation Board.
