2027: Hamzat right man for Lagos, says Ashafa

Former Senator Gbenga Ashafa has called on Lagos residents to back the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, for the 2027 elections. Ashafa, who represented Lagos East Senatorial District, believes Hamzat possesses the necessary competence, experience, and leadership to continue the state's development trajectory.

He described Hamzat as a "tested and trusted public servant with an outstanding record of performance," urging Lagosians to entrust the state's future to him due to his demonstrated capacity, integrity, and commitment.

Ashafa also addressed internal party matters, dismissing claims of disunity within the APC. He asserted that party members are united and focused on securing a victory for Hamzat and President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming elections. "There is no division within our party. We are united, focused and determined to deliver victory for Dr. Hamzat and President Bola Tinubu," he said.

The former senator expressed optimism about the APC's prospects, confident that the party would achieve a comfortable win in Lagos and across the country.
