2027: INEC listing silences doubters, Wike PDP insists

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction aligned with Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) publication of its presidential candidate has silenced doubts about its participation in the 2027 general election. This development, the party stated, has put an end to months of speculation and proven wrong those who predicted its failure to field a candidate.

Of particular significance is the publication of the names of our presidential candidate, Distinguished Senator Sandy Ojang Onor, and his running mate, Alhaji Babangida Umar, who will proudly fly the flag of our great party in 2027 presidential election.

The party hailed the inclusion of its presidential candidate, Sandy Onor, and his running mate, Babangida Umar, on INEC’s published list as a significant milestone in its preparations for the 2027 polls. In a statement, the PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, emphasized that the publication had "effectively laid to rest" sustained misinformation and propaganda aimed at undermining confidence in the party. The statement highlighted the significance of listing Onor and Umar to "proudly fly the flag of our great party in 2027."
