2027: North-West must repay Tinubu with votes, Kaduna governor says

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has called on the people of the North-West region to back President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign in 2027. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Muhammad Mamadi, Sani emphasized that the region must repay the Tinubu administration's interventions with votes in the upcoming presidential election.

Governor Sani asserted that the North-West has been a significant beneficiary of the current administration's programs. He highlighted specific areas such as agriculture, education, youth empowerment, and women's development as sectors where the region has seen substantial benefits. "No region has benefited under Tinubu’s administration like the North, particularly the seven states in the North-West region," Mamadi stated, representing the governor.

To facilitate this political objective, coordinators and members of the "Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria" support group were inaugurated for the seven North-West states: Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto, and Zamfara. The group's convener, Mike Auta, charged members with undertaking aggressive grassroots mobilization, urging them to reach communities beyond major cities and ensure victory for Tinubu in 2027.

Women's participation was also emphasized, with the group's women's leader, Karima Abdullai, noting that millions of women have benefited from cash assistance and empowerment programs. She expressed confidence that more women would gain from such initiatives if Tinubu secured a second term. Farida Ahmed Bala, Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, appealed for patience, likening the administration's efforts to rebuilding a neglected house, and stating that "Patience leads to progress, and progress leads to prosperity."

The inauguration in Kaduna marks the beginning of a broader campaign across the North-West aimed at consolidating support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The organizers stressed the importance of reaching all segments of the population to secure the necessary votes.
