2027: PDP No Longer Party of Choice in Ogun, APC Chieftain

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost its electoral appeal in Ogun State and is no longer a credible choice for voters, according to Kayode Oladele, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission. Oladele declared that the PDP's persistent internal divisions, leadership crises, and lack of clear political direction have significantly diminished its standing.

In contrast, Oladele asserted that the APC has solidified its position through "purposeful governance and measurable performance" at both federal and state levels. He noted that the electorate increasingly recognizes the difference, with the PDP seemingly preoccupied by internal disputes while the APC focuses on governance and delivering tangible benefits.

Oladele further praised the current APC administration under President Bola Tinubu, arguing that no other party can match its performance. Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, Oladele expressed strong confidence that President Tinubu would secure a second term. He believes continuity is essential for consolidating the gains of ongoing reforms, which he anticipates will yield increasingly positive results and long-term value for Nigerians. In Ogun State specifically, Oladele highlighted the developmental initiatives of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, known as Yayi, as further consolidating the APC's popularity.
