2027: Senator urges Nigerians to re-elect Tinubu in 2027

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general election. The senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District urged voters to also back other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

I want to call on Nigerians, particularly the people of Ondo Central, to support President Bola Tinubu, himself and other APC candidates across all levels in the 2027 elections.

Adegbonmire, who is also the APC candidate for his senatorial district, stated that the Tinubu administration requires continuity to consolidate the "people-oriented projects" and ongoing reforms. Speaking on Adaba FM, Akure, he asserted that the President is working diligently to improve the lives of Nigerians and fix the country. He characterized the current reforms as processes designed to yield lasting solutions rather than temporary fixes.

The federal lawmaker pointed to significant investments by the administration in infrastructure and economic development. These include the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, renewed focus on rail infrastructure, airport improvements, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. He also commended efforts to stabilize foreign exchange, noting that a predictable exchange rate environment aids manufacturers and importers in long-term planning. The senator cited the growth of Nigeria's foreign exchange reserves to over $50 billion as a factor that can boost investor confidence and national economic resilience.

Within his own first three years in the 10th National Assembly, Adegbonmire detailed his focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth development, and human capital. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, he highlighted his role in justice, human rights, and the rule of law.

Things are being done in phases, but the President is building systems and institutions that will endure. For that reason, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves commendation for his courage and commitment.
