2027: Yobe Governor candidate seeks Emir’s support

Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Yobe State, is actively engaging traditional rulers as part of his campaign for the 2027 election. Following consultations with the Emir of Damaturu, Wali visited the Emir of Geidam, Alhaji Mustapha Ibn Mahmud, at his palace.

Wali stated that these consultations are crucial for engaging traditional institutions and other stakeholders across Yobe State. He conveyed that his visit was on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Mai Mala Buni (who is seeking a Senate seat), and the party leadership. The candidate also sought the Emir's prayers for continued peace and development in Geidam and the wider Yobe State.
