3 teens charged for allegedly stealing 14-year-old’s e-bike key in Saskatoon

Three teenagers face robbery charges in Saskatoon after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old boy and stealing the key to his e-bike, police said.

The Saskatoon Police Service said the two 15-year-old boys and one 14-year-old boy attempted to take the e-bike Thursday evening near Kloppenburg Street and Kloppenburg Link. Police said the teens assaulted the boy and pointed bear spray at him before fleeing with the key.

Officers responded at about 7:40 p.m. after receiving a report that one suspect had a gun. They arrested one teenager without further incident, then arrested the other two shortly afterward. Police said officers found the handle of a cap gun during one pre-arrest search.

All three were charged with robbery. One of the 15-year-olds also faces charges of possessing a weapon, wearing a disguise with intent and using an imitation firearm.

Responding officers located one male matching one of the suspect descriptions and he was arrested without further incident.
