Istanbul will witness a spectacular display of aerial prowess as SOLOTÜRK, the Turkish Air Force's elite aerobatic team, takes to the skies to commemorate the 104th anniversary of Victory Day. The special flight is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, marking a significant celebration of national pride and military capability.

The main event is set to unfold over Yenikapı Square at 6:00 PM, promising a breathtaking performance for the assembled crowds. Leading the formation will be SOLOTÜRK's Formation Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Murat Bakıcı, alongside Air Force Major M. Erhan Aydemir. This display is designed to showcase the advanced piloting skills and precision of the Turkish Air Force, offering Istanbul residents a thrilling experience.

Preparations for the grand event will commence a few days prior. On Thursday, August 27, 2026, a familiarization flight will take place over Yenikapı Square at 12:00 PM. This will be followed by a full rehearsal flight later that same day at 6:00 PM. The public will also have an opportunity to meet the pilots during an autograph session at the Istanbul Air Museum on Saturday, August 29, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
