30-Year-Old Dies in Forklift Accident in Most na Soči

A 30-year-old man has died following a tragic forklift accident at a company parking lot in Most na Soči. The incident occurred early Saturday morning, outside of regular working hours.

According to police reports, the forklift overturned to its right side while making a left turn. The 34-year-old driver managed to exit the cabin, but the 30-year-old man, who was on the rear of the forklift, fell to the ground. He sustained severe injuries.

Bystanders immediately attempted to revive the injured man until emergency services arrived. Paramedics from the Tolmin Health Center continued resuscitation efforts but were unsuccessful. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The forklift driver received medical attention and was treated at a hospital in Šempeter. Investigators, including criminalists from Nova Gorica, are examining the circumstances of the accident. The case is being treated as a suspected negligent homicide, and a judicial autopsy has been ordered.
