350 golfers to compete in Ibom Open tournament

Uyo, Akwa Ibom will host over 350 golfers for the 2026 Ibom Open Golf Tournament from June 4 to June 7. Usenobong Akpabio, the Organising Committee Chairman, stated that the event offers participants a significant platform to advance their golfing careers.

The tournament is expected to be unique, with sponsor Uganda Air offering a business class return ticket for winners. Akpabio noted the event's growing popularity, exceeding their target of 300 participants with approximately 350 registrants already, and more still seeking entry.
