36th Akbank Jazz Festival Lineup Announced

Istanbul will resonate with the sounds of jazz as the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival unfolds from September 26 to October 11. Organized by Akbank Sanat in collaboration with BKM, the festival promises a vibrant lineup of over 30 concerts and side events across the city's diverse venues.

Early September performances include Joe Armon-Jones and Danae Palaka on September 26, followed by Momoko Gill on September 27. The Sarathy Korwar Drum Ensemble will perform on September 29, and September 30 will see concerts by Robinson Khoury MYA and Velvele, a duo featuring Merve Salgar and Anıl Eraslan.

October kicks off with Ensemble Babylon and Jakob Manz's Young European Stars. The festival will also feature Emin Fındıkoğlu +12 orchestra, James Carter Piano Quartet, and saxophonist Cochemea. Sibel Köse's project "Jazz Bridge from the Vistula to the Bosphorus" and L'Antidote are also scheduled.

Later in October, Dhafer Youssef and Yazmin Lacey will take the stage. The festival will culminate on October 11 with performances by Kinkajous and Savina Yannatou with Lamia Bedioui's Primavera en Salonico. The event will also host 10-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and Sasha Berliner.
