5 Seconds of Summer to perform in Taipei after 10-year absence

Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer is set to electrify Taipei once again, marking their return after a decade-long hiatus. The highly anticipated concert is scheduled for November 25 at the Taipei Pop Music Center, as part of their "EVERYONE’S A STAR! WORLD TOUR." The band will perform music from their latest album, also titled "EVERYONE’S A STAR."

Formed in Sydney in 2011, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin quickly gained international recognition with their youthful melodies and distinct band style. Their career trajectory soared after serving as opening act for One Direction's tour in 2013. Their self-titled debut album, "5 Seconds of Summer," released in 2014, topped the Billboard album charts and propelled hits like "She Looks So Perfect" and "Amnesia" to global success, launching their international music careers.

Over the years, 5 Seconds of Summer has released subsequent studio albums including "Sounds Good Feels Good," "Youngblood," "CALM," and "5SOS5."
