58 Producers Join 'My First Agro Job' Program, Offering Over 100 Vacancies in Los Santos and Veraguas

The Ministry of Labor and Development (Mitradel) has announced that 58 agricultural producers in the province of Los Santos have joined the 'My First Agro Job' program. These producers are offering a total of 113 vacancies specifically for young people seeking their initial work experience in the agricultural sector.

In the Mariato district of Veraguas province, 19 young individuals have formally registered for the program. Additionally, local farms and agro-businesses in the area have committed to providing 25 job placements. Promotional events for the program were held in El Carate, Las Tablas, and in the communities of Arena and Quebro within the Mariato district.

Mitradel officials, led by Minister Jackeline Muñoz de Cedeño, met with producers and young participants to explain the program's requirements and operational framework. 'My First Agro Job' is an initiative integrated into the broader 'Panama Pa' Ti' plan, designed to facilitate the entry of young people into the workforce, particularly within the vital agricultural industry.

The program's objective is to create a direct link between young job seekers eager for their first professional experience and the producers and companies that form the backbone of Panama's agricultural economy. This initiative seeks to address youth unemployment while supporting the growth and sustainability of the agro-sector.
