58th International Children's Games open in Hualien, Taiwan

Hualien, Taiwan, welcomed nearly 1,300 young athletes from 68 cities across 26 countries for the opening ceremony of the 58th International Children's Games (ICG) on Saturday evening. The event, held at the Hualien County Stadium, marks a significant gathering of global youth united by sport.

Sports Minister Lee Yung addressed the attendees, emphasizing the ICG as a vital platform for young athletes to test their limits and pursue their dreams. He encouraged participants to strive for excellence in competition, learn from each other during exchanges, and cherish the friendships forged in Hualien, aiming to make the experience an unforgettable part of their youth.
