66-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Home, Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

A 66-year-old woman was discovered deceased in her residence in the Battalgazi district on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred on Selektör Street, where emergency services were dispatched following a report from the woman's husband. He alerted the 112 Emergency Call Center after he could not contact his wife, who lived with family members.

Upon arrival at the scene, police and medical teams entered the home and confirmed the woman's death. During their initial assessment, responders detected a strong gas odor within the residence. Preliminary investigations suggest that the elderly woman may have succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.

The deceased, identified as Nebahat Ş., was a mother of two. Following the on-site examinations, her body was transported to the forensic medicine institute to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
