7-month pregnant nurse Esra found dead at home

A 7-month pregnant nurse, identified as Esra Uğur, 29, was found dead in her apartment in Antalya, Turkey. Uğur, who worked in the emergency room of a local hospital, had reportedly been experiencing marital difficulties and was in the process of divorcing her husband.

Her relatives, concerned after being unable to contact her, enlisted the help of her husband. Upon entering the apartment with a police team, they discovered Uğur unresponsive on the sofa, with an IV drip attached to her arm. Medical personnel confirmed her death at the scene.

Following an autopsy, Uğur's body was released to her family. Her mother became distressed during the process and required medical attention. A ceremony was held at Uğur's workplace before her burial at the Kurşunlu Cemetery.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, with a primary focus on the possibility of suicide. Preliminary findings indicate that Uğur had gambling debts and had recently decided to divorce her husband. Investigators are examining whether she injected an anesthetic into her IV drip to end her life. The investigation is ongoing.
