72,071 Pakistani Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj; Remaining Expected by May 21

The spiritual journey of Hajj is underway for thousands of Pakistani pilgrims as they arrive in the holy land of Saudi Arabia. To date, a significant contingent of 72,071 Pakistani pilgrims, comprising 61% of the nation's allocated quota, have successfully reached Saudi Arabia. Their arrival was facilitated through 282 flights, connecting various cities across Pakistan to the Kingdom. This massive logistical undertaking ensures that our faithful can fulfill their religious obligations.

These arrivals have been managed through a combination of direct flights to Madinah and Jeddah, notably including those operating under the "Route to Makkah" initiative. This program streamlines the immigration process for pilgrims, allowing them to complete formalities in their home country before departure, thereby easing their journey upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. Currently, the majority of pilgrims are accommodated in Makkah, with a smaller group residing in Madinah, awaiting their turn for the sacred rituals.

Our Ministry of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with ground teams comprising 1,320 assistants and volunteers, is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for every pilgrim. From airport reception to accommodation, these teams are working tirelessly. The remaining 39% of pilgrims are expected to complete their journey by May 21, adhering to the flight schedule. This Hajj season, like every year, is a profound moment of spiritual reflection and unity for Pakistanis, and we are committed to facilitating this sacred pilgrimage with utmost care and efficiency.
