79th Locarno Film Festival Opens, Featuring 233 Films and 103 World Premieres

The 79th Locarno Film Festival commenced on August 5, transforming the Swiss town into a cinematic hub until August 15. This year's festival presents a diverse program, featuring a total of 233 films across various venues, including the iconic Piazza Grande and numerous cinema halls.

Highlighting global cinema, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of 103 world premieres, offering audiences a first look at new cinematic works.
