80,000 liters of fuel seized in Hidalgo; 11 tanker trucks, drugs also confiscated

An inter-institutional operation in Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico, resulted in the seizure of 80,000 liters of illicitly sourced fuel. The raid, conducted in the Zacamulpa locality, also led to the confiscation of 11 fuel tanker trucks, a semi-truck, 12 vehicles, and various containers and cisterns.

Agents from the National Guard, the Secretariat of National Defense, the Secretariat of Public Security of Hidalgo, and the Attorney General's Office of the State of Hidalgo participated in the operation. Authorities stated that the action dismantled a criminal group allegedly dedicated to the theft of hydrocarbons.

During the search of the property, authorities discovered six vehicles with active theft reports. Additionally, 14 containers of various capacities, four 10,000-liter cisterns, 110 meters of high-pressure hose, and equipment used for the illegal storage and transport of fuel were found. The operation also uncovered 487 doses of marijuana and 27 doses of a substance resembling crystal methamphetamine.

All seized items, including the fuel, vehicles, equipment, and narcotics, have been turned over to the competent authorities. Investigations are ongoing to determine further responsibilities and connections within the criminal network.
