Algeria's cinemas are witnessing a remarkable resurgence this summer, with attendance soaring to levels not seen in years. This cinematic boom is happening against the backdrop of the FIFA World Cup, drawing Algerians back to the big screen in unprecedented numbers.

The current wave of enthusiasm is partly fueled by the phenomenal success of the film "Michael," which has become the highest-grossing movie in Algerian theaters in over a decade. This achievement has transformed going to the movies from a sporadic outing into a consistent leisure habit for many.

The summer programming is exceptionally strong, featuring highly anticipated blockbusters such as "Spider-Man," the return of beloved characters in "Toy Story," and the adventurous "Vaiana."
