A New Plan for Mining: Government Wants to Take Control of the Transition

Poland needs a new approach to its mining transition, Deputy Energy Minister Marian Zmarzły said in an interview with WNP.

Rather than reacting to each new crisis in the sector, the state should manage the transformation comprehensively, according to the conclusions presented in the discussion.

Zmarzły also proposed appointing a government representative for mining transition. The official would be responsible for the strategy, financing restructuring and coordinating the work of mines and the energy sector.
