Aapresid Congress to feature over 100 panels with international experts

The 34th edition of the Aapresid Congress, organized by the Argentine Association of Direct Planting Producers (Aapresid), is set to convene in Rosario from August 4 to August 6. Under the theme “Our Soil, Our Voice,” the event promises to be a pivotal gathering for agricultural knowledge and innovation, attracting experts, producers, and industry representatives.

The congress will utilize 10 auditoriums operating simultaneously, offering interpretation in English and Portuguese. Over 100 panels will feature more than 350 prominent speakers from Argentina and around the globe. The agenda is structured around nine thematic axes, covering a wide spectrum of topics relevant to the agricultural sector. Organizers emphasize that the congress reaffirms its position as an essential meeting point for knowledge and innovation in agriculture.

Aapresid President Marcelo Torres highlighted the growing importance of the event for the institution and Argentina's agro-industrial ecosystem. He anticipates discussions on the latest trends in agricultural technology and knowledge, as well as political, economic, and social issues. Torres views the congress as a crucial space for debating the future of Argentine agriculture in an increasingly complex global context.

International participation includes Chad Lee from the University of Kentucky discussing high-yield corn management, soil health specialist Christine Morgan, regenerative agriculture pioneer Dwayne Beck from the United States, and Celso Omoto addressing Brazilian pest management strategies. Muhammed Ibrahim, Director General of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), will present on new models for scientific and technological cooperation in agriculture. Prominent Argentine researchers, technicians, and consultants will also contribute their expertise.
