AbdulRazaq highlights 1,353 projects, infrastructure gains in Kwara

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq asserted that his administration has delivered 1,353 projects across key sectors during his seven-year tenure, asserting that the impact of governance is now evident in both urban and rural areas. He made these remarks following the 2026 Annual Ilorin Grand Durbar Celebration.

The atmosphere of peace currently being enjoyed in the state had made it possible for residents and visitors to gather once again for the cultural celebration associated with Eid-el-Kabir.

AbdulRazaq emphasized that the prevailing peace in the state has facilitated gatherings like the Durbar, a significant cultural festival in Northern Nigeria that attracts tourists and participants from across the country. He praised the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the Durbar Committee for their efforts in making the event vibrant and organized, acknowledging the community's role in preserving Ilorin's cultural identity.

The Ilorin Emirate Durbar has firmly established itself as a household name across Northern Nigeria.

Detailing his administration's achievements, the governor stated a strong focus on upgrading public infrastructure, including roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. He noted that cultural activities like the Durbar have been deliberately elevated as a key government priority, alongside infrastructure development. AbdulRazaq believes these accomplishments will endure and provide a solid base for subsequent governments.

As an administration, we have prioritised the comprehensive upgrading of public infrastructure in a manner rarely seen in recent decades.

He urged residents to observe the visible projects throughout the state as evidence of the transformation achieved under his leadership.
