Abhijeet Dipke's mother breaks down as Pradhan resigns: ‘Couldn’t sleep, was worried about him'

The parents of student protest leader Abhijeet Dipke expressed profound relief and joy as Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down, a key demand of their son's movement. Anita Dipke, Abhijeet's mother, shared the emotional toll the protest had taken on her family, recounting sleepless nights filled with worry for her son's well-being.

"He had to sleep amidst mosquitos…he was diagnosed with typhoid," an emotional Anita Dipke told reporters, adding that her own sleep was disturbed until 3 a.m. due to anxiety over her son. Dipke's father also appeared visibly moved by the developments. The family plans to celebrate Abhijeet's victory upon his return.

Abhijeet Dipke, diagnosed with typhoid during the agitation, vowed that his illness would not deter the movement. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which spearheaded the protest in Delhi, has now called off its demonstration after the government conceded to all their demands. These include Pradhan's resignation and the withdrawal of all police cases filed against the protesters.

Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh announced the government's agreement during a joint press conference. They stated that protesters would receive compensation according to regulations and that copies of all filed FIRs would be provided to the CJP, with no further action taken. The protest gained significant momentum, notably with climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's 26-day hunger strike.

Dipke himself had faced adversity during the protest, including being manhandled in Jaipur and having ink thrown at him during a demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The successful conclusion of the protest marks a significant moment for the CJP and its supporters.
