"About You" Warns Customers of Potential Data Leak

Online fashion retailer "About You" has alerted a portion of its customer base to a potential data breach. The company stated that unauthorized individuals gained temporary access to the systems of its external logistics partner, which handles order processing and delivery.

While "About You" assures that its own systems were not compromised and customer accounts remain secure, it acknowledged the possibility that personal data may have been viewed or copied during the incident. The company emphasized that customers can continue to shop safely through its app and website.

Unauthorized individuals temporarily gained access to the systems of our external logistics partner, which are used to process and deliver orders. (...) Based on current information, unfortunately, we cannot rule out the possibility that your personal data may have been among the data viewed or copied.

This event occurs amidst escalating concerns about increasingly dynamic and complex cyberattacks, fueled by advancements in artificial intelligence. Lithuania's National Crisis Management Center recently advised national organizations to re-evaluate and strengthen their security protocols. The incident also follows a separate ongoing investigation by the General Prosecutor's Office into a potential theft of over 600,000 real estate extracts from the Lithuanian company "Registrų centras."
