Delfi, established in 1999, is a private Lithuanian online media company and the country's most visited news portal. It is a subsidiary of the Estonian media conglomerate Ekspress Grupp, which acquired 100% of Delfi stocks in 2007. The platform generates revenue through advertisements and subscriptions. Ekspress Grupp faced a legal proceeding in 2025 where it was fined for violating competition law by acquiring another news portal without proper notification.

Media Bias/Fact Check (MBFC) rates Delfi as right-center biased, indicating its editorial positions slightly favor the right on social issues and it sometimes uses loaded language to support conservative causes. While MBFC assesses its factual reporting as 'Mostly Factual,' it notes 'poor sourcing techniques,' such as linking to general topic pages instead of specific reports. Delfi strongly opposes the Russian invasion of Ukraine and has been blocked by Russia. The outlet was also found liable by the European Court of Human Rights in the Delfi AS v. Estonia case for offensive user comments posted on its website, a decision that raised concerns among some about online freedom of expression.
