Accusefive Swears Off Rice Ahead of Taipei Arena Shows as Giant Mascot Takes Over Korean Star Hotspot

Accusefive have made a vow to stay in shape before returning to Taipei Arena for concerts on November 7 and 8. The band members said they have avoided rice for two weeks and will not break the rule until the day they take the stage.

The group’s label says production and promotion spending for the shows has no limit. Its latest publicity move sent the 4.5-meter-tall “Accusefive Pig” to the rooftop of Golden Pig, a restaurant where many South Korean artists celebrate after visiting Taiwan. Holding a giant “@” landmark, the mascot appeared above the restaurant ahead of the concerts.

From September 3 to 6, the mascot will also appear around Taipei wearing a superhero cape and carrying the same oversized symbol. Accusefive songs including “唯一,” “好不容易” and “愛人錯過” have been covered by South Korean singers such as IU, Jessica, i-dle’s Yuqi and Dragon Pony. The band has also collaborated with MAMAMOO member Solar on “總有一顆屬於你的星球.”

The members described the preparation as highly stressful. Yun An said he has dreamed about arriving late, while K犬青 recalled a dream in which she could not remember how to sing one of the band’s songs. The group is also focusing on its appearance: Yun An said a photographer placed a composite image of him and Korean dancer Choi San on his mirror to encourage him to reduce his body-fat percentage by three points, while K犬青 joked that she would only be allowed to smell mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Tickets for the “KGI Financial Holdings x Accusefive Accusefive Here@century World Tour” will go on sale at noon on September 13 through the KKTIX system.
