Acer’s IFA launches ignite tech battle with ultralight laptops, large tablets and RTX Spark desktop

Acer arrived at Berlin’s IFA 2026 with a wide range of new products, but its compact SFF RTX Spark desktop stood out as one of the event’s main attractions. The machine uses NVIDIA’s RTX Spark superchip, although Acer has not yet released full product details or Taiwan launch plans.

The company’s laptop lineup continues to emphasize thin and light designs. The new Swift Blade 14 uses magnesium-aluminum alloy and carbon fiber, weighs just 799 grams and measures 12.9 millimeters thick. Its 14-inch display has a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, 4.3-millimeter bezels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The laptop can be configured with up to an Intel Core 7 processor 350.

Acer also displayed the Aspire G 3D 16, which uses eye-tracking cameras to turn ordinary 2D photos, videos and games into three-dimensional images. The Vero 16 focuses on sustainability and repairability, using recycled and low-carbon aluminum in its body.

Gaming products included the new Predator Atlas 7 handheld. Acer placed the core performance of its previously announced eight-inch Atlas 8 into a lighter seven-inch body, with up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, an Arc B390 graphics chip and dual-fan cooling. The device has a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate support.

Acer also showed the Project DualPlay Mini concept, which combines an eight-inch flip screen with a physical keyboard and can switch between handheld gaming and mini-laptop modes. Other displays included the Predator XB253Q U1, which supports a 1,000Hz refresh rate at FHD resolution, a portable EP130K electronic-paper monitor and the foldable PD163Q P3, which uses three 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panels. The new Iconia X and A tablet families cover 14-inch and 16-inch models, use MediaTek Helio G80 processors and include rear stands and two USB-C ports.
